Question:

Is it pointless Travelling to Barcelona when Im only 16?

Found out that It would cost £88 for return flight from Stansted to Barcelona and staying at a Hostel for 3 nights, (Fri-Sun) was wondering would I be able to do stuff even though I'm only 16 though I have parents permission (for flight etc),. I mean I'm not going to want to go clubbing or drink alcohol just explore and sightsee,

What do you think?

  1. It's never pointless to travel!  I started going on my own when I was 15 and love it.

Barcelona is fantastic.  Just hold onto your wallet at night in the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter).  You'll have an amazing time!  Go to the Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia, see the market in the Barri Gotic, take the teleférico up the mountain.  It's awesome!

  2. There's plenty to see and do.  It just depends what interests you.

  3. If your parents are happy for you to go and if you're sensible then there's no reason why you shouldn't.  16 does seem a bit young to be going on your own, I hope you're going with some friends.

There are lots of things to do which don't involve clubbing or alcohol - if you're on your own you're wise to avoid this as you'd be pretty vulnerable.

It depends on what you enjoy doing, why not get a guidebook or check out some internet sites - tripadvisor is always a good place to get some honest advice.

I started travelling when I was 18 so good luck to you and I hope you really enjoy yourself, it's better than spending all your money in the pub!
