Is it pointless to get a purity ring if you've done everything?

its not for religious reasons. more of a self respect/pride thing and a promise/belief that im worth more than i've shown. im done with meaningless s*x and i want give up s*x until im married or at least deeply in love. is it wrong and pointless? does that disrespect the meaning of a purity ring?

the way i see it is if your ready to change your lifestyle and wait until you are married then noit isn't pointless. because you want to keep yourself pure from this moment on for your future husband

No, I interpret the meaning of the purity different so maybe I'm wrong ,but I think a purity ring doesn't have to be religious. It's just a promise you make to yourself that you will value yourself.

No, it's not wrong, not pointless, and not disrespectful. In fact it's MORE meaningful than a purity ring on a virgin, because you KNOW what you're really promising, and you're doing it for yourself, for your own reasons - not because someone assured you it was what you needed to do, and you just trusted them. It means whatever you say it means.

If it's a symbol of self respect and intention to hold to that,

No I think it is good it is like you are turning over a new leaf and you want to do better good for you I say do it its not pointless I get what you mean because you have had s*x already and you want to give it up until you are married. :) That is good I say do it you will feel better about yourself all around and you grow from stuff like that. It is a good life lesson to it shows you have matured and you are leaving your immaturity behind you. It sounds ok to me anyone who says otherwise is goofy. If it's for personal reasons don't bother caring what others will say. Many people strive for abstinence after they've already lost their virginity. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Perhaps, you could do as you say without the ring, but...it may help to keep your intentions readily apparent by having the ring as a reminder.

Purity rings are pointless. Extremes are usually not healthy and going from doing anything to doing nothing doesn't seem like a very good idea.

Yes, I think it does disrespect the meaning of a purity ring because wearing one would essentially be a lie.
