  1. you mean to the waiter/ress?  It is extremely rude to forget your manners.  They are not slaves after all, they're just people, like anyone else, trying to make a living.

  2. Is it necessary? No. You are paying for service. Is it polite? Yes.

  3. it's always good to be polite to say thank you

    after all

you would'nt want waiters to spit in your food

    or

let your date see how rude you are

  4. It is, because they're getting your money, and the waiter a tip...so theyre doing their job, but you're better saying thanks, even to the guy delivering your bills...

  5. No, if you are met with poor service.  However, I am always polite to someone making my food, I don't want any repercussions.

  6. It depends on what is meant on being polite.  Sometimes actions speak louder than words.  You can say thank you in a sarcastic manner and it wont mean anything.  But, if you smile and make eye contact it should be the same as saying thank you.  Just remember to say Hi and Bye and you shouldn't seem rude.

  7. I think that it is rude to not say thank you. My sister in law works at Chili's and trust me if your rude there or they think your being rude then you will definitly get the "special sauce" in your food. Special Sauce a.k.a. big ole mouth of spit

  8. You should always say thank you when its needed and no it is not polite to answer your question
