Is it polite to talk on the phone while sitting on the toilet?

I guess the person on the other line wouldn't know but I don't do it anyway cause one time when I was I mixed up one hand with the other.

What do you think?

It probably isn't polite, although I do it occasionally myself when I am talking to family members. I have a daughter who could talk your ear off, so sometimes it is a necessity or I would be sitting in a puddle.

THAT is what gets me about cell phones. Just HOW important  MUST that conversation be to where you have to make a call from the toilet?

It's more polite than holding a face-to-face conversation while on the toilet.

I think the other person can hear....i can hear when my friends do it and i think it is disgusting.

lol...my husband does it all the time drives me crazy. when he calls me during the day, I ask him r y taking a ****... if he says yes I tell him ewww call me from your office!

I think thats kinda gross.  You probably can afford to wait a minute or two

I guess if the other person doesn't know it would be okay.  I would try not to make any airy or splashy noises though.

Pfffft no. but if you must turn it on mute while you pee, or whatever else you must do.

In case this is a real question...it depends.  If I was talking to my mother or one of my sisters, or certain friends, I'd go if I had to go, and flush at the appropriate time.  But those folks are few and far between.  

What's really yucky is people in the restroom at work, yakking away with some friend while someone else has some serious business to do in there.  Don't do that.
