I live in Texas now, and they call it pop down here. I used to live in Massachusetts, and they call it soda up there.

It's soda in the northeast too.  It's pop in Ohio, Michigan, etc.

its the same thing, just different areas call it different things...

example:

eastern pa and nj call it soda.

western pa and ohio call it pop.

i went to penn state and this was one thing people argued about a lot....

It doesn't matter what people call it. You call it whatever you want to. This is a free country and you have the right.

My preference is soda:)

Most people call it Pop in Kansas! OR Soda Pop.

I call it soda because when my family from New York comes they call it soda so I start getting use to soda!
