Yes. I wrestled with that question for many years. I began to get more comfortable with coexistence when I began to study Buddhism.  But it took me a long time, and I will likely change my mind again.

I suggest you pick up a simple book that compares philosophies and religions. Read through them and then go with  whatever "feels " right. Try it for a while. And repeat the process.  

If you are like I am, you will never find an  answer that feels 100% OK. But you can come close. And that will make you feel pretty good.

we are the universe. we can actually coexist with ourselves at least by just thinking about it.

Only on Earth.  In 'space' we'd need protection from various forms of radiation.
