Hello ! Last Tuesday i got hired at a local Internet Service Provider. My task is to listen to my colleague's orders. Most of these orders are related to our 3-element ladder. I have to unmount that thing from our car's roof, to carry it and to mount it back on the car's roof. The problem is that it is quite heavy and after 1 week i have started to feel pain in my shoulders and hand wrists. Is it posible to somehow break some bones because of this effort ? what would you suggest ? I can't quit because i need the money ... i'm 19 yo btw

  1. It sounds like sprain from over use of muscles your not used to useing.

Try compreses and hot/cold patches, treat it like temporary arthritis,Tylanol to reduce the swelling, eventually the muscles will get used to the continues action.

It is highly unlikely that you broke anything, unless the area in question has swelled up.Then see a Dr.

  2. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure that you can damage your shoulders. I'm positive that you can damage your wrists though because I just sprained mine earlier this summer. Try doing some research.

  3. You won't break a bone, but you can pull/rip something (ligament, tendon, muscle) or maybe hurt your joints if you really strain yourself. Stretch and warm up before you do this if possible, and maybe start working out. If your muscles can support more of the stress, your joints will have an easier time. If you don't work out, you'll get stronger by just doing your job eventually.

  4. Why carry the ladder when you can drag the ladder huh? Oh yeah well I'm 20 yo

  5. try streching it and massagind it with ure hand if you can.. maybe that'll help.. but i dont think u broke anything cuz if you did u would be sure cuz man i know what it feels like to break a bone and trust me, u would be at the doc right now if u did
