Is it posible to renew passport while my visa has expired?

My UK visa has expired, but my passport has not, does anyone else know the embassy will accept my apprication when my visa has expired.

There is no reason why they should not - but you are going to have to find out the hard way - ie by contacting their Consular dept.  I hope you'll be using your new document to leave.  We'll detain and remove you if we catch you...

a visa i given for a certain length of time approved by the host country , if your visa is expired , then you will be there illegally ;

you more than likely will be send out of the country ;

assuming you are a UK citizen living in the U.S. you may have to travel to the UK, get your U.S. visa renewed, then return to the U.S.

Please call the U.S. embassy or consulate in the U.K. to verify the time needed to get the visa renewed.  If it's just a student or tourist visa you should have no problem.

However, the Visa waiver program should allow you to enter remain in the U.S. without a visa (depending on what you are doing).  If you are on a work visa then you'll need to get it renewed.  The best approach there is to contact an immigration attorney who specializes in work visas for UK citizens.
