Is it possable to put a baby seat in the back of a ford ranger????

i'm thinking about getting a ford ranger with the back seat but i don't know if it's possable to put a baby seat (not infant but next step up) the forward faceing one's is it possible???

  1. It the ranger has full seats then it is okay but if the ranger just has the fold down seats then it is not recommended, it is very unsafe and unstable.


  2. Get a Subaru Brat, put your child seat in the back seat of that.

  3. The Ranger back seats are generally the fold down variety and would not be suitable for a child seat. Take a look at the Ford Explorer Sport-Trac. It is essentially a Ranger with a full back seat.

  4. The only Rangers with back seats are the ones with the sidefacing jump seats.  You can NOT install any carseats or use any booster seats on anything except forward facing vehicle seats.
