You can play any console on a computer if you use a capture card I believe. I didn't buy one, but my video card had a TV tuner and it worked the same. The Framerate wasn't the best (I played Resident Evil 4 for PS2 on my monitor and it was pretty choppy at times) so unless things are better than when I first tried it, I wouldn't recommend it. Look it up though, I haven't and it's possible something good is out now.

On a side note, you can record your gameplay with a capture card, which is pretty cool.
