  1. History is a man made concept. If we were to run out of water there would no longer be man, there fore it is impossible.

  2. at one point all the water was frozen.  Water in vapour form will not leave the gravity of the earth.

thermo dynamic laws say no, why?, because water is a low energy random molecule and thats what the universe is moving to.

  3. Until our sun becomes a red giant in about 5 billion years, the processes that made the water we have now should continue to supply more. After the sun expands enough, all water will be boiled away from Earth.

  4. Don't pay any attention to an answer including the Bible while you're in the category of science. Couple questions down

  5. Yes, according to the Bible, the entire physical planet will be turned into a spiritual planet and become the center of the universe.  That will be in maybe 1200 years, plus or minus.

  6. it could, but by the time it does it will be either be inevitable or we could be advanced enough to do something about it

  7. If you want to explore this scenario, you need to ask yourself, "Where would the water go?"

At the moment, the water cycle is basically closed-loop system, but there are various ways a "leak" could appear in that loop.

To take the most outrageously unlikely one that immediately comes to my mind: aliens with a desperate need for water and no regard for other lifeforms could appear and suck all the water out the oceans and install gigantic dehumidifiers to thoroughly desiccate the planet.

A far more likely scenario is that earth will only lose all its water in the far, far distant future (roughly 8 billion years) when the sun expands into a red giant and the earth turns into a ball of very hot rock.

  8. If we get into a head-pn collision with a rouge asteroid..otherwise it is impossible.

  9. maybe some giant alien entity could suck it all up thru a cosmic straw

  10. if  something were to happen cosmiclly, i.e. the earth going through a cloud of space gas, some radioactive decaying substance, perhaps all the hydrogen would be seperated from the oxygen, thus we would have no more "water"

  11. Yes, but it will take a long time. By then we may be gone from earth to another planet

  12. Yeah, if it got too hot and lost it's atmosphere.  The water would just evaporate.

  13. I can't imagine any scenario that gets rid of all the water but leaves the planet intact.

Get rid of all the *liquid surface water* maybe...

  14. The entire history??? History would sort of imply the past. We still have water.

  15. lol dont listn to fstcl88 hes a ****** idiot. how do you think it rains you dildoe. The water evaportaes, forms clouds and then rains down. Go grow a pair of nuts you douche

  16. ANYthing is possible !!
