Question:

Is it possible I could be pregnant??

I am currently on the pill. As it goes, I stopped taking the pill for roughly seven days and took the sugar tablets to have a period. After taking the sugar tablets I continued to follow the packet and took the following tablet which was the actual pill. That same day I had intercourse. Could that one pill that I had taken a few hours earlier prevent me from getting pregnant without any other contraception or could I become pregnant? I have been feeling a bit sick lately but I don't want to jump to conclusions. Especially as I'm not at a very suitable age or time in my life to be pregnant.

  1. I'd say it a 50, 50 chance depending on how mant hours before you had the pill

  2. Okay, no offense to Kelsie, but her answer was dumb. You can be ready to have s*x but not ready to have a child.

With birth control, it really depends how long you've been on it. If you've been on it for a short amount of time, then it's possible. But if you've been on it for longer than two months, then that one pill probably takes major effect. Besides, you're not extremely fertile right after your period.

I think you're just paranoid. Happens to all teenaged sexually active girls.

  3. It's highly unlikely that you will become pregnant the day after your period. If you've taken the previous pack correctly, at the same time every day and haven't pissed any, it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant.

  4. Kacie's answer was a bit mean. She is doing something to stop her getting pregnant! 26 yr old women sometimes arent ready for a baby. its ridiculous. i agree 100% with jajajamie.

  5. well if you're not at a suitable age maybe you shouldn't be doing something to get yourself pregnant?

    just a thought.

but in all honesty, anythings possible. the chance is quite low, but take a test to just be sure.

EDIT:: lol what? jajajajamie are you actually ENCOURAGING teen s*x?

wow.... sorry, but i think you just contradicted yourself. your answer is quite dumb...

and Kezia A.... my name is Kelsie... not Kacie. it says so right under my display picture...

anyway i can't believe you both are saying that its ok for teenagers to have s*x... that's just messed up.........

and for green_eyes, i wasn't meaning to be rude to you. i was just pointing out my thought process. you said you weren't old enough to have a kid so i knew you had to be at least under the age of 18. in all honesty, you sound like a smart girl. save the s*x for later. all it takes is one mistake and you could be pregnant. and think about it, what's the point in having to be nervous all the time about potentially being pregnant?

  6. If you have been taking it longer then a month when this happened. you should be protected. The possibility is low then. like 1%. good luck. : )

  7. ummm

    yeah

i think i would get the morning after pill or something just to be sure

(works up to like 3 days after )

    and what age are you

cuase  unless your like over 45 you can have a baby

  8. impossible to be pregnant.. 100% sure you are only really fertile mid menstral cycle...... you will be fine

  9. maybe you should not be having sexual intercourse if you are not emotional stage right now.

if you are in a loving realtionship then you should always use birth control no if and buts about it, and the easy way to remember to take your birth controls is to take them at the same time everyday. If you forget one take 2 the next day.
