Is it possible Obama could get the most popular votes and still lose like in 2000...what would be reactions?

I'm thinking all h**l would break loose in many African American communities. It could be a replay of the 1968 riots.

Some how I don't think that will happen.  Obama's team is extremely knowledgeable about the electoral college.

They know which states that they have to win to get over the top and those are the states they will focus on.

I think Obama will win so that shouldn't be a problem. If he does lose as you said then watch out there will be riots everywhere and this country will be torn apart more than ever and the only person that can calm the rioters down will be Obama pleading with them to stop it.

Why are Neocons so OBSESSED with the notion of riots?  I'm a little concerned about the gun toting set when McCain loses.

My bet is even if he loses the popular vote by a landslide, they will demand a recount.

Many will cast Present Votes too for Barak H Obama.

That has been discussed as a possibility, mainly because of the theory that Obama would rack up huge turnout in urban areas in states where he is already expected to win, racking up his popular vote total, perhaps giving him up to a two or three percentage point advantage in the popular vote. riots, yeah, I'm sad to say that's possible.  I'm afraid to put a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on my car because of the neighborhood I live in.  There is open hatred and animosity towards anyone who is not voting Obama.

I think it could happen. Hopefully people won't act like morons and see it as a chance to get some free stuff. But ya never know. I would hope people wouldn't want to make themselves look bad. But you can hope in one hand and p**p in the other, see which one fills up.
