I have heard that contracted ROTC cadets can attend airborne and air assault school between years. Is it possible for an ROTC cadet to attend airborne school the summer between their freshman and sophomore years and then air assault school between their sophomore and junior years so that when they commission they will be both airborne and air assault qualified? Also, can rotc cadets go to these schools the same summer that they have LDAC if they have time?

  1. It's possible if they are also in the reserves and get a slot for it,

it's not easy though because those schools are generally pretty full and they don't hold special slots for rotc people, they have to get the slot from their reserve unit....

  2. It is possible.

But alot will depend on where thier School is.

Airborne School at Fort Benning is equiped to handle alot more people, than Air Assault schools are.

So it is easier getting to Airborne School than Air Assault School.

There are several Air Assault schools, but some like the one at Fort Campbell, is closed right now, since the Division is deployed.
