None of golf's tops have been winning as expected, and it doesn't appear as if the top 5 on the list are going to overtake his 22,000 points.

  1. No.  he is out for the season, and the rest of the pack will catch him soon.  Look at how Phil and vijay are doing this weekend.  They will pass him, and even if they don't it resets before the end of the year anyway.

  2. No because the points reset before the playoff events.  Even if the player ranked No. 1 in FedEx cup points has a 5,000 pt lead, the reset would cut that to about 1,000-1,300.

Vijay just won the WGC and he should be at 15,000.  Mickelson also picked up good points today.

  3. Unfortunately no, it's not possible because the points reset when the playoffs start in a few weeks

  4. The top 5 are going to catch him, no doubt. Look at this weeks tourney... Phil and Vijay are on top of the leaderboard.

  5. What difference does it make whether Tiger Woods wins the Fed Ex Cup in absentia or whether he fails? He was unable to complete his season. He won 4 of the 6 events he entered. He is still the best golfer  on the tour.  Fed -Ex is a big sponsor and would like to see a named athlete as its champion. But like baseball and other sports one should not be able to win a major trophy with so little participitation.
