Is it possible for a 13 year-old to become a professional writer?

Of course, anything is possible if you just set your mind to it (my personal belief.) It is going to take a lot of time, energy and effort on your part, plus raw talent. Keep trying, be patient. The first time you get into a pool you're not going to swim like Michael Phelps. It takes lots of practice. It's the same way with writing. Don't give up. Keep writing stories, articles, and blurbs in your spare time. Pay attention in school every time a teacher mentions important writing tips and tricks. And there are sometimes little workshops and such at libraries for the aspiring author. I wish you the best of luck- my dream is to become an author too.

I started writing when i was 13 and i'm on my way to publishing that book.

As long as your dedicated, imaginative and creative, you should have no problem!!

i think its great to write, you learn and discover so much.

As long as you write well, anyone, no matter what age can publish!

i aw this tv show where an 8yr old published several childrens books, but you can also go into professional writing, as in novels, whenever you like!

the beauty about wriitng, is that it has no limits whatsoever!

no. You need college. Or at least to get a contract with someone who would publish your stuff they would like to see a high school degree.
