Is it possible for a 14 year old homeschooled kid to get a worker's permit in the state of Michigan?

  1. Yes it is. I was home schooled myself and actually dealt with the question.

    I just called the secretary of state and asked them (to refresh my memory, since I started working for myself and didn't need a worker's permit).

    Home school students may obtain a work permit through their local public school.

    I believe you just go to the public school you WOULD attend if you went to public school and get it through them. Legally they have to give it to you if you qualify.
