  1. why on earth would you want to defect to North Korea? do you realize what you are saying?

first of all, to enter North Korea, it is not easy as a loner, visa are usually given to tourist group, faster than individual,

when you defect? do know that to get out? i think it will be forever......

if you have committed anything that bad to want to defect to North Korea? if it is the case that indeed, you have done something that bad? it will be known before you enter, and if ? they let you in?

  2. you want to defect to North Korea

Your not Gary Glitter by chance

    Cambodia, Vietnan ???????

    The South Asia comeback tour????

re the comment by kinning "you do not need a passport to leave here"

Try and board any aircraft, ship or train bound out of the UK.

Of course you need a passort to leave the country and yes if you are leaving the country you are required to carry a valid passport

  3. What a great idea. How come no one else has thought of this?

Im surprised there isnt a steady stream of defectors to such an open, welcoming, progressive, innovative, exuberent, generous and caring country where the world is your oyster.

  4. defect???  are you a spy or something? you could if you were from south Korea but if you are a UK citizen you can just ...go there

  5. Well..

I know living in Britain under Labour is total h**l....that is why I chose to take a gamble and immigrated to Spain instead....

But defecting to North Korea sounds a bit harsh and an act of total desperation no offence.

  6. Go armed with secrets of this country that will benefit them  economically, industrial or military technology and they will welcome you with open arms.

  7. why not give it a try, others have and they have been so happy they havent wrote back to tell us about it.....go on, cross that bridge

  8. ill defect if they gi me £200.000 then after 6 mth ill defect to some where like australia

  9. God i love the smell of fresh napalm in the morning.

  10. Yes and yes. Get gone, bye!!!!!

  11. It is possible to defect to anywhere.

If they let you stay is another matter.

Also ask yourself can I get back in?

  12. wish Blair and Brown did

  13. It is yes, although whether you would want to is another matter...so saying I bet the cost of petrol is cheaper...Anyway, there have been cases where various Japanese/South Korean people have defected to North Korea, even in recent years

  14. Most torture in any country - and u wanna go there ?

  15. attempting to go through the dmz to north korea would get u shot in the face or put in a north korean prison were they would torture and interrogate you before starving you to death

  16. Certainly, though regardless of what you think you have to offer North Korea, you would always be treated with hostility and suspicion, or worse once your value was considered to be reduced to zero.  And leave which country?  North Korea after you defected?  Highly unlikely unless if fit neatly into something they wanted to achieve.

  17. Sure, but why would you??? Several American soldiers did during the Vietnam Era and were persecuted by the North Koreans for doing so. One soldier finally left to be with his Japanese wife a couple years ago after much political pressure from the Japanese Kim Jong II finally let him go. The rest of the Americans died there after "re-education". It wasn't what they thought it would be.

  18. I think that if you are seeking to make this move, that you should first consult a psychiatrist.

  19. It is remarkable how many have read this question and yet not understood it.

The questioner does not ask if HE can defect to North Korea, but whether ANYONE could.

A UK citizen does not have to have, or give, a reason for leaving the country. Neither does a UK citizen have to present a passport to leave the country, or even have a passport. A passport is not a permission to leave.
