Is it possible for a carnivorous plant (such as a Venus flytrap) to eat people?

  1. Only very very small people.


  2. Think of it this way---when was the last time you heard about a person being eaten by a plant?

  3. As others have pointed out a Venus flytrap wasn't really the best example here because here isn't one big enough to even have a change at eating a person. There are, however, much bigger carnivorous plants out there but I can't think of any that would stand a chance of trapping a human long enough for the digestion process to be completed.

  4. There are much better ways to dispose of a body than grinding it up into tiny pieces and feeding them one by one into a venus fly trap.

  5. LOL of course not. A carnivorous plant has a hard time just digesting large insects. Also, if you put your finger into a VFT and it shuts, you can pull out your finger without feeling a thing (and damage the trap in the process) .Insects are caught because they are weak.
