Is it possible for a couple to retain passion?

I understand that it will never be as strong or the same as the initial connection. Is there anyone out there in a long term relationship that can testify that passion can last in some amount after years of a relationship?

My parents have been together for 25 years now. They love each other very much and the reason for this is because they live for each other. It's like... they ask themselves what they can do for the other person. They don't make their relationship about having it their way all the time. They still argue from time to time, but they're willing to say "Ok, I accept that I'm wrong in this" and then let it go. And I think that's what really makes it work. If anything, they love each other more than when they first started their relationship.
