My friend recently purchased a pomeranian puppy that is "purebred." She showed me the akc papers for the parents. The mother is cream and the father cream sable (the "breeder" copied the papers to show her). Her puppy, however, is brindle. Is this possible?

  1. Yes its called the recessive genes, if both mother and father have the recessive genes then an offspring can have them 'overwhelm' the dominant, its like two green eyed people having a blue eyed baby

  2. Yes its possible, It all depends on which genes the pup inherited down the line from both the ***** & sires sides.

  3. yes it is possible ,remember that puppies coats change colour as they get older
