This summer she hopes to get two jobs. Is it probably a smarter idea if she waits till she is older?

She is 55 percent irish. Her Irish heritage comes from her grandmother. Her grandmother's last name is "Maglinn". This girl hopes to pass on the tradition of the irish by making a life of her own somewhere in Ireland.

  1. Here's a possibility for you, get a dual citizenship.  (it's only $30 or so...)  As long as your grandma was born and raised in Ireland, you can get one.  Go to the town center or city hall and ask about it.  Or look it up on the Internet.

This way you don't have to give up your American citizenship, but you don't have to worry about a green card or anything like that.

Plus, if you're an artist, or musician you don't have to pay taxes! (Bonus!)  Good luck

However, you do need proof about your grandma being Irish...for example a birth certificate.

  2. I'd love to know how you came up with 55 percent Irish; but anyway, there are many opportunities to work/live/visit/study in Ireland. A great way for a young lass is as an Au pair. See the links and tell her to have a Guinness for me.

  3. Earn some money and then go for a visit. It is very beautiful. But it could be difficult for you to immigrate without a specific skill. So get an education. Become a nurse or some career that might be needed in Ireland if you want to move there.

  4. I live in Dublin and I mean this you will need ALOT of money to live here Dublin is VERY expensive. Its ridiculous, come for a weekend break and see what I mean.

  5. wait till your 18 coz ud still be classed as a minor here and unable to rent a flat or buy a house yet. Don't go to Dublin come to Cork its the real capital!!! Plus Dublin is SO expense and Cork is so easy to get around and it has the same stuff as Dublin
