Is it possible for a mouse and a hamster live together?

If a rabbit and a chinchilla can live in harmony or if a rabbit and a guinea pig can live in harmony, why shouldn't a mouse and a hamster be able to?

And not that I wish for this to happen, but if a mouse and a hamster do happen to get into a fight, who will most likely win?

  1. Sure! I was always told a cockateil and parakeet needed to live seperately but mine are in the same cage and have been for 3 years with NO PROBLEMS>

  2. NO! A rabbit and a chinchilla CANNOT "live in harmony". And a rabbit and guinea pig CANNOT "live in harmony". A rabbit can easily kill them with one swift kick, even if it is playing. They also DO NOT EAT the same food. Having any of them live together would mean one not recieving proper nutrition. Only the most inconsiderate people would do something like that.

A mouse and a hamster CANNOT live in harmony either. Hamsters are EXTREMELY territorial. They might be okay with the mouse one minute, but when it bothers them, they would start fighting. And mice can actually kill smaller animals in the wild, so the mouse would probably "win". Don't be so careless. NEVER mix species!

  3. I agree with mosquito algebra fountain thrash 100%

  4. they can live together, they wont be friends or anything though, and might fight over food and private space. i think the hamster would win? if its bigger?
