  1. Well I went there without a reservation early evening in May this year and the doorman held the door pen for me.  I was staying at Jurys (behind the British Museum) and hated their menu..... However I didn't eat at the Ivy because I couldnt find anything plain on the menu.  I dont think the doorman knew who I am (well known at the other end of the country) but he was kind enough to take my picture outside the doorway anyway.

  2. Yep.  May have to book ahead, especially at weekends.  Go for the 5pm sitting.  Food suprisingly well priced

  3. Yes it is, my brother and sister-in-law went for dinner just last friday to celebrate her birthday.  You may have a long wait though.

  4. Yes, phone and book.

But don't go just to gawp at the "celebrities".

  5. Yes it definitely is - some friends of mine dined there last Friday evening but they stopped for a burger king on the way home!

  6. Of course you can, you probably wont get the table you want and you will have to book up at least a month in advance, but its worth it, the place is wonderful, and the food aint too bad either.

  7. You need to email them with ur details about what you earn etc and they make a dicision based on that!

Normally they jus tell you to f*ck off! but you might be lucky, who knows???

  8. Of course it is.  We went for lunch for a staff Christmas party and it was fantastic! Very resonable at £20 per head too.

Not sure about eveings though - booked up well in advance.
