Is it possible for a phone to cause static?

We've had intermittent static problems for 2 years. We've changed dsl filters and phone cords, seemed to help but it keeps coming back. We were having problems last night, it kept logging us off a website and when my son was talking on the phone with static, he hit the phone and it went away. Is it possible that my cheap corded phone could be the the problem?

  1. Yes! My grandparents have the same problem. The phone/internet co. told them they needed filters ... well they got them and depending on where they are in the house they still get static. I think with more expensive phones they have something thats better like ghz or mhz or something and they work clear.

  2. Yep.That happened to us. We had a cheap phone and it did the same thing.
