Question:

Is it possible for a sty to be on your eyeball/ corner pink part of eye?

A week or so ago I noticed in my right eye when I turn it laterally there is a sort of small pinkish bump towards the medial corner/pink part of my eye. I don't think it's directly on my eyeball because when I move my eye medially, the bump hides behind the pink portion of my eye. It doesn't hurt and I can't really feel it, but it looks kind of wierd and I don't remember seeing it before. I was wondering if it's a possible sty or is it possibly something serious? I just started wearing contacts also and yesterday my vision is a little blurry and my eyes feel like they are tired. Could it be because of the bump?

  1. I would check this site out, it gives a lot of good info:

  2. A stye by definition is an infection of a meibomian gland in the lower or upper lid.  So, no, you cannot have a stye on any part of the eye other than the eyelid.  You could have an infection at the corner of the eye but it would not be classified as a stye.
