  1. Yes, certainly.

US companies were some of the more pushy - or brave - ones (along with South Korean and Japanese) to enter Vietnam in the early-to-mid 1990s.

Back then Vietnam was the flavor of the day/week amoung Multinational Corporations and, for example, over a dozen car companies sought and got approval for building factories in Vietnam. They must have done so without doing any market research, but that's another story.

The problems P&G had - mostly due to that they misread the market - should be a business school case study. Coke were among many companies that struggled with its local JV partner, while Citibank had a small successful operation from the outset.

What I'm telling you is that there have been plenty of Americans working in Vietnam for the past 20 years. Over recent years - with tourism on the rise - more and more foreigners come here to start their own (small) service businesses.

Today, Hanoi Hilton is a 5-star hotel, not a prison.

  3. I believe there are many who had gone there to find a new life. Join the queue.

  4. Yes, sure. It's been possible for at least the past 15 years.

  5. yes, absolutely. Hope to see u there.

  6. Why not? There is nothing impossible. And as far as I i've known american people are easy to go anywhere they want to go and stay.
