  1. no all land is owned by the state

  2. I don't think the embargo on travel to Cuba has been lifted yet

  3. Cuba is a communist dictatorship, no one has privately held property. Even the US Navy Base at Gitmo is leased.

American Citizens are prohibited from visiting Cuba, unless you are an expresident and feel you are above the law.

  4. For a number of reasons, the answer is absolutely not.

  5. many US citizen go to Cuba via another route to say anonymous.....and their passport are NOT stamped while entering Cuba.

so therefore, yes ,some do purchase home and trade with Cuba..although is it illegal,

the only thing is? if you were to get caught? hum hum?

the embargo is still valid......and in place...

  6. All property in Cuba is state-owned. Cubans themselves are not able to purchase land in Cuba but must trade their land for someone else's land if they wish to move. Cubans do not actually "own" the land, they have a similar position that we call a lease. They are able to use the land and fully utilise it as if they did own it but, legally speaking, they don't.

The US has fixed laws in place which make it impossible for American citizens to trade with Cuba, e.g. American laws state that it is illegal for an American citizen to exchange money for goods or services services in Cuba, or to receive goods or services from a Cuban resident free of charge. In fact under US law, it is illegal to spend more than 24 hours in Cuba. Many Americans ignore these laws when they holiday there, but purchasing property in Cuba would definately place you under huge suspicion by the IRS.
