Is it possible for an anaconda to eat a man?

ok i found some pic in the web about and anaconda eating a men. do u think this pics are real or fake? do u really thing an anaconda could really eat a men? ok here is the link were i found the pics....http://home.att.net/~crinaustin/Snake2.htm

That's not an anaconda, that's a reticulated python from southeast Asia. Several biologists agree this is a fake photo. They had a show on Animal Planet just the other night and they were saying it is a doctored photo. There has never been a documented case where a snake has eaten an adult human.

the answer is yes and no.

yes: an andaconda can KILL a man by constricting it.

no: an andaconda cannot EAT a man. humans shoulders are too wide and the andaconda's mouth cannot stretch like that. however it is unknown if the andaconda can devour a man if it was on its side. they say it is possible.

those second pictures are doctored. it was proved that if the snake was to eat the man it would have been eaten head first. however, the way the picture shows the man was eaten legs first. it was fake.

that third picture that you saw is indeed real (i've seen it before). that snake hunted down the man and killed him. the snake was still alive when the man's body was found and it was shot on site by the local sheriff

That's not an Anaconda, it's a Reticulated Python. There has not ever been any recorded evidence of an Anaconda eating a human. Retics eat people all the time in Asia.

i bet they could eat a child or a smaller man. Not so much a fully grown person, and anyways. why would you stand still when a snake is comming towards you.
