Question:

Is it possible for contact lenses to 'roll' to the back of the eye?

I had an itchy sensation to my right eye and scratched it and suddenly the lens either fell and I'm afraid that it can even roll back to the back of the eye ball.

Is that possible because I still have an itchy sensation to my eye?

  1. Not possible at all. There is a structure in your eye that prevents this. Forgot the name of it.

  2. It cannot get to the back of your eye because your eye has a covering called the conjunctiva that covers the eye and connects to your eyelids.  They can get folded up under the lids which can be irritating, but that's as far as they can go.

  3. yea that is possible.if you think that it might have, then close your eye and apply a small amount of pressure and gently stroke downwards to help oit come down...if that doesnt work then get a friend or parent to look and then if you still htink that it is up there then go to the doctor.

  4. Yes, they can roll kinda up, or down. Lol. I wear them, and yes that can happen. You should take your other contact out and put your glasses on. If you dont have glasses, then take a nap. It will come back soon, and if not, then it fell out. Make sure you take your contacts out every night. Yes, you can sleep in them, but its better on the eye to give them a break. If you have any more question, e-mail/im me. I dont mind. I have had contacts for years, and yes sometimes, i hate them, but in the end, if you use them right, you will love them.

Edit, no they can roll like alll the way back, but yes in a way they can kinda roll back.
