  1. I think that by looking at the divorce rate in America right now you can tell people don't go through life as soul mates.  Its truly remarkable when you do find that person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

  2. I was watching Sylvia Browne one day on Montel and she said it is actually rare to go through life with your soul mate. She said that your soul mate is usually on the other side guiding you where you need to go throughout your life.

But if you are talking about true love, I suppose you can be very happy with someone who you have become to love and trust as a friend and then married, it may not be as passionate but as long as you are both happy then it shouldn't matter.

  3. yes it is possible

if you were to get married you

you really dont know how a person will be when their older

that doesnt mean you werent right for eachother then

it simpily means that over time you wanted different things out of life

    and you grew apart

    hope this helped

  4. huh?

  5. I don't believe in the concept of soul mates.  My husband and I share a deep love and commitment and have a wonderful relationship, but it is something that takes effort and work.  I don't buy in to the two halves of the same whole, two sides of the same coin theory.  I can't imagine myself with anyone else, but if my husband and I had never met, I know that I could be married and happy with someone else.  In my opinion, believing in soul mates sets you up for disappointment, because regardless of how compatible you are, there will be times that you disagree, times that you are frustrated, times when you are angry, and even times that you think "who is this person?"  Once you get married and live together full time, it is a whole new ballgame.  You see him or her without the social mask.  If you have too many romantic notions, this becomes fertile ground for thoughts of "I guess he/she isn't my soul mate after all.  Maybe I've made a terrible mistake."  The truth is that we are all human and its about finding someone that you are not only compatible with but also compliments you and is commited to working things out.

If you are an airtight believer in soul mates, I would have to say that yes it is possible for a married couple not to be.  Just look at the divorce rate.

  6. Are you married and don't think you should be?
