  1.    I copy and pasted this answer form when i answered the same question except it was manny to the mets so just replace every time you see the word met to Phillies.

I am a Yankees fan so the is completely unbiased lol. The Red Sox, like Manny said in his interview on espn deportees, are not stupid. They are going to try their best to win it all and they is just not an outfielder out there who can replace Manny Ramierez in the field and at the plate. Especially with the mets, Their lestfield is not as good as manny. Neither are the yanks or almost any teams LF. The Red Sox like i said before are not stupid and will not trade him to any team in baseball. But i do strongly believe that he will be released almost immediately after the sox's season ends and the entire off season and thankfully many more seasons to come try to fil that hole in Lf and at the plate.

The other thing you mentioned is about Manny's attitude. Your right it wont affect his ability but if he continues to have this attitude when he goes to the mets or any other team he will be a problem with team chemistry. If you don't think that is a big deal let me tell you it is. A team is only as strong as it's weakest link and if the entire team dosen't work as a team there will be routine plays mest up in the field either manny getting cocky and trying to make a diving play and it goes by him for inside the park home run or manny throwing pass the cutoff man for an out at home and the guy scores and and the other runners move up a base setting up a big inning. When this happens the Mets or any toher team who takes him during all of this will become a media punching bag and the Mets will be destroyed by the media forcing the owner of the mets to fire this one and that one to save his own skin. So No Manny will not be traded by the sox and because of his attitude i think when the red sox do realest him his career is over because nobody will want a cocky man on his team.

  2. i doubt it,but "anything is possible"

  3. I wish, but our retarted GM only trades for players who suck and are a waste...The Phils need a guy like Manny who has been on a Championship team and has playoff experince because nobody on the Phils team has playoff experience except from last year when we got swept...Burrell would be fine in RF and Manny would stay in LF.

  4. I don't think so. Manny doesn't play in right and that is the only position he could play. Plus, our owner says he doesn't want him. Another plus, I really don't think Phils fans would accept him and the fan atmosphere is a key to the Phils success b/c we drive them.

  5. clinton your wrong manny stinks in the field

  6. there was a little mention of a trade for pat burrell...but that has seemed to die down. i really hope not...we don't need his attitude on the phillies.

  7. It is possible, but Manny is in trade talks to the Marlins.

Manny in Phils would be a great fit I think.

  8. Dont see why not. I mean now that his name is out there, in the last moments, teams will be doing what they can and jump on the bandwagon. I didnt even know he was eligible for a trade ( contract), and at first was surprised to hear White Sox put in an offer. Lets face it. he has remained loyal within the organization all these years,a nd his career is winding down. I think deep down he wants to play for/with a contender. He just chooses not to voice about it, but you cant help but think, right now his insides are like jumping jacks and hoping for the best.

  9. In the MLB, you never know what the managers are thinking.
