Okay, so I'm 6 foot and weigh 140 pounds. i really want to have the infamous v shape body but I don't think I can get it. It actually looks like I have an hourglass shape. My chest and waist are both 30 inches and my waist is 26 inches. How can I make it look more like this: V, instead of this: ) (

  1. well that shape happens when u have not that much body fat or like very tonned! to get tonned u need to do high number reps of sittups. try drinking water instead of soda/energy drinks. running really helps lower any exrtra fat if u have any and tone really good!

  2. hey bro so im gonna help u out here im 6'1" at 155 at 17 so i can help u out here trust me lol. ok so its true theres some genetics, but its also muscle build. males in general tend to carry their weight on their shoulders rather than hips, and i dont believe ur hourglass thing haha u just gotta put some effort into it. as boring as it may seem, pushups, curls, and flys extending from ur waist upwards will crazily increase ur muscle appearance. ALSO, if u want to exaggerate the v shape, get slim pants. now im not talking emo slim here but i used to wear baggy jeans, and everyone said i was skinny, but then when i was 16 i went to mervyns, tried 2 slim fit jeans (and was suprised like crazy how good they looked) and everyone was like holy **** u look hella bigger... ALSO if u buzz ur hair it exaggerates ur shoulder build. i thought i would look hella bad with buzzed hair (so did my mom) but it looks legit now, andgot more v

  3. you need to work your back and shoulders.

  4. It totally depends on genetics and your bone structure etc.

If your hips are wide and your torso broad you may never be a 'v'.  Just be as fit looking as you can be for your body shape and be happy with that.
