Is it possible for me to go to university in Ireland or Scotland?

I live in the United States.

Instead of doing a 'study abroad' sort of program, I'd like to go to school overseas full time.

Its possible, ( I want to go to the university in Edinburgh) but take for instance how colleges  in the US charge you for out of state fees, they will charge you more because you come from out of the country, and they will probably make it very hard for you to get in, since they need to focus on getting people from their native country in first.

yup Armand is right, it will cost you through the nose to study over here, I'm from Scotland, but the education is amazing and you have a brilliant time. It is definately possible and Scottish and Irish university's are always trying to encourage international students, so go for it and good luck.
