Is it possible for me to have a future in tennis?

I'm a 16 year old guy who is Senegalese but I live in Bangladesh.

I've been playing tennis since I was around 8 years old. I learned from tennis markers from a recreational club in the city.I play almost like 5 times a week in doubles and singles for at least 2 hours. I have never had a coach so I have my own playing style which is positive in a sense but negative in a way which I won't get to know if what I'm doing is right or wrong. Hopefully next month I will be taking group lessons from a coach in the Nation Tennis Complex, which is where they train the country's elite players.

My question is if it's still possible for me to have a future in tennis?

thanks.

  1. Why not? Sounds like your dedicated. Keep up the good work and don't let any one tell you you CAN'T do any thing. Your a Rock Star

  2. You definitely do! If you can play fairly well right now then when you go to the training thing they will probably correct some things that you are doing wrong so it will make it easier for you to play!

  3. Tennis is great and i dont want to be a downer but.

16 is kind of old if going pro is your goal. if you have been to an academy like bolletari in Bradenton florida their are kids as young as two training for hours a day.

Unless your sum of sort of a prodigy i dont think you have a future on the circut.

THink about it this way there are thousands of kids around the world who want to go pro most who are younger than you and have more time to train. you will have to train harder than all of them to achive your goal.
