I'm 14 years old and I would love to be a sprinter but there are no athletic clubs near me. The nearest one is a fifty minute drive. So the other day I timed myself doing the 100 meters on the track around my local soccer pitch. It took me 11:73 seconds. I thought this was pretty good what do you think? So next year the community games are on and i will make the county finals and if I beat them I will make the nationals. Will someone scout me and try and train me for 2012 if my time is that good? and it will improve over the next year.

  1. Chances are you wont get 'scouted' in athletics.

You need to get training, get yourself a coach, get into competition, drop some quick but official times - then see what happens

  2. You ought to train with your school track and crosscountry teams.   If you can't make those, your chance of making the Olympics is nil.

  3. what I would suggest for you to do for the time being is ask the Athletic dept. at your highschool if they know anyone who trains ppl for track and field. He should be fairly close if someone from your High school knows him (or her). And if all you have is a soccer field nearby thats not too good cuz the track surface is different from grass. So look around for a track nearby and the two of you can train there. The rest will take it's course from there.

  4. Doubt it. You need to be trained professionally and do good in quite alot of competitions like winning the Junior one for england or something like that Lol. But you always have that chance
