She wants to come to college in Texas in a few years when she goes to college, if she works hard would she be able to go on full scholorship if she gets on?

  1. It is possible, but I can't guarantee it'll be easy since most scholarships are restricted to citizens or permanent residents of the country you're in.

If you search for Texas full scholarship international, you get a few results.  Some of what I found included Texas Wesleyan University, ( http://www.txwes.edu/internationalprogra... ) and Texas State University ( http://www.finaid.txstate.edu/scholarshi... ) although the latter seems to be far from full scholarship, you at least get state resident tuition rather than out-of-state tuition.

  2. It depends if they offer her a scholarship or not.  Does she know of a particular college or university that she wants to go to?  She could contact them and see what their criteria are for accepting international students and what kind (if any) of scholarships they could offer her.  Also, international students usually have to pay a heck of a lot more for tuition.

  3. Possible, but very unlikely.  Unless your friend is a star athlete, there are usually very few full scholarships available, and many of those which do exist require that the recipient be a U.S. resident or citizen.

  4. I don't think so.  International students are generally expected to pay their own way.  The scholarships tend to go to citizens.

  5. yES, as long as the Canadian gov't is the sponsor of your friend's scholarchip.
