  1. Yes, Martin Luther

    Martin Luther King Jr

    Abe Lincoln

    George Washington

    Christopher Columbus

    Albert Einstien

    ect...

  2. The person who first tamed fire did it. The person who invented the wheel did it . It is possible, but it doesn't happen too often.

  3. Faith does this...  8-)

Marriage does this. also .. 8-)

Having a child does this too  8-)

  4. I would say most definately, yes. The answeree who wrote the inventors of the wheel and fire did so was correct, but that could be argued about any invention/discovery (i.e. plastic, penicillin, the x-ray, DNA, just  to name a few). Scientific discoveries change everyone's lives for better or worse. Plastic has made life easier and helps preserve foods, among other things; penicillin helps with disease; the x-ray helps identify malfunctions in the human body; and DNA, probably the most importnat of the discoveries I have listed, created a multitude of changes.

But, to answer your question on a social level, Jesus probably brought about more--and more everlasting-- change than any other single human being in history. Ignoring the specifically religious level, though that's hard to do, because millions of people believ in Him, the world has been bettered. Charities exist, foods are distributed, literature abounds (Jesus even shows up in Shakespeare), debates are had, and policies are made and changed, not to mention the art, music, and architecture created for Him. One could even argue the United States exists because of Jesus, due to the fact that it was a particularly devout group of Christians who first decided to settle on this side of the Atlantic.

So yes, it is possible for one person to effect everlasting change.

  5. Anything and everything all starts with someone thinking, " You know, I got an idea... " The rest just stems from there.
