  1. The movie star Dorothy Dandridge was raped as a teenager by her mother's female lover, who used her fingers.  I don't know what the purpose of this behavior would be, but that is what I read about her.

  2. Penetration does not have to occur with an object.   It can be manual.

  3. I think that greatly depends on your definition of s*x.

Rape is usually defined as prenetration of another person without their consent. Though most people think of rape as a man penetrating a woman's v****a or a man or woman's a**s with his p***s, this is a very narrow definition.

Rape, as defined by penetrating another person without their consent, can also involved objects, or body parts such as fingers, to penetrate another person sexually.

In this sense, it is absolutely possible for a person to rape another person, and the absence of a p***s does not suggest an inability to rape another person.

As for sexual aid, I will assume by this you are referring to penetration with objects or devices, in which case yes, you can still penetrate another person using fingers, hands/fist or even feet.

I would even argue that rape is not limited to penetration. For example, I could sexually assault a man by inserting his p***s into a vaccuum cleaner. This could be considered rape though I am not specifically penetrating him, in the same way that a man could lie on top of me and proceed to have non-penetrative s*x with me, which I could still consider rape.

In either case, whether it sticks to a technical definition of rape or not, sexual assault should never be dismissed as less serious than rape. Regardless of the content of a person's actions, the point is, someone's sexual intergrity is being violated.

When we can move past questions of whether or not things are possible and how we should classify them, it would be really nice to start validating these experiences and legitimizing the survivor's concerns rather than spending so much energy on figuring out whether or not it is legitimate because they have defined it "correctly".

  4. Yes-if a woman was not an adult and/or did not give consent to a sexual act-I would consider it rape-but the law varies from country to country and in the US-from state to state. Others have mentioned how fingers and hands as well as toes and feet can be used to penetrate another sexually-but you can also use your mouth and tongue as well. In addition to vaginal or anal penetration-many women would consider forced manual manipulation as rape.

A woman could force the sexual acts on another woman using intimidation or exhortion or using threats of violence towards them or those they care about. Or a woman could coerce a female victim to perform sexual acts on another woman or on the "abuser".

  5. Depends on your definition of rape.

In some places, the legal definition of rape is restricted to the use of a p***s; penetration with any other object would be considered sexual assault rather than rape.

Obviously if the definition of rape can include penetration with fingers or a hand or another object, then it is possible for a woman to rape another woman.

Restraints are not usually needed in any kind of rape, since the rapist terrifies the victim into participating by threats of violence.  Some rapists use restraints, but restraints are generally unnecessary because of the fear factor.  So again, it is possible for a woman to terrify another woman into a sexual act, for example by threatening her with a weapon.

The idea of rape is traditionally imagined as a crime committed by perverted men in dark alleys against women they don't know.  But the reality is very different: most victims know the person who raped them.  And it's possible for men to rape men, for women to rape women, and even for women to rape men.

So I don't know whether the situation you mention is true, but it is certainly possible.
