Is it possible for someone like me that has only been drawing for an year, make it to the gaming industry?

I started practicing on drawing when i hit 17, now im 19, and my skills have only improved a little. My question is, is there anyone out there that had the same desire as i do, that wasn't good at art but somehow got good from the age of 17 and up? Don't want to be trying to aim for something that seems seriously impossible for me.

No, you need to study game design. You cant just be good at drawing to get by.

Take art classes. There are courses of study at the community college level to learn gaming design.  Its more involved than just knowing how to draw. You need to know 2 and 3d animation as well as color theory.

Your chances of getting a job are  nil without some kind of training.
