  1. It's possible. They can install a virus.

Just don't run anything like .exe, or .js etc that you recieve from people online, and you'll be fine.

Also if your laptop has a light that comes on when the webcam is accessed, that will /always/ come on when it is. So if it comes on without you asking it, there's something wrong.

    Don't worry about it.

  2. Omg, I really hope this isn't possible. That'd be scary !@#!$##~!#@~!!!~!!

  3. Yes, through trojans.

  4. Hahaha

i thought i was the only one paranoid about that.

    xD

  5. Yes it is, but they will need to hack your computer first or physically gain access to it, here's a news article about exactly what you're talking about: http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/200...  If you have reasonable anti-virus software it should catch anyone who tries to hack your camera.  Some free options include:

    http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...

    http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/dow...

    http://free.avg.com/

    (recommended in that order)

Try not to worry about it though because the odds are EXTREMELY small that someone has hacked your webcam.

  6. LOL it is possible there are many ways to do this but if you want to know just post a question on how to do it

and if you don't want this to happen to you just make sure thats your web cam is not hooked up to the web when not in use.
