  1. NO .........FAR AS THEY CAN GET IS,,.. ISP...INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER .........................

  2. I am assuming the person has your email/chat ID.

Now, I don't think technically one can back track your home address, by tracking your IP address, ISP and so on and so forth. However, if one is really interested, it may be possibke to track your address by couple of ways:

    1. By hacking into your email/chat ID (again I am assuming that you have used your correct home address while registering or in your profile). If not, you are safe from this option.

    2. By searching for your resume on the internet, which may have the same email/chat ID. (Again, I am also assuming that your resume exist on the internet in a digital format and you have used the same ID in that resume). If not, you are safe from this option.

    3. By a breach of trust. In case, while you were on each other's chat lists, if the other person also became friendly with one of your other contact and that contact knows your home address and reveals it to that other person.

Not sure if this was helpful.

  3. The only way that anyone would know where you live is

1 - If you didnt have a firewall turned on (which I am sure you do since windows has it on be default) then a person can hack into your PC and look for personal information such as your address.

2 - They would have to work for your Internet provider.

3 - Law enforcement can track you down.

  4. sure they can.  even if all they have is a phone #.

  5. If you're underage, then even if you gave out your full name it wouldn't be in any database or phone book. If you play school sports and your name and school appear in the local newspaper, it's possible that's online and someone could find out at least what school you go to.

But if you're only talking about a screenname and MSN chat, no one has access to your IP address, let alone would be able to get a court order to force your internet provider to give out your address. The person would have to be in law enforcement AND have evidence of some criminal activity on your part to convince a judge to issue such an order to obtain your address from your ISP.

  6. if he works for msn and you address is on you account then yes if he know a bit he can find the rest on the royal mail website look on the royal amil website and you Will see what I mean

  7. I guess it's possible. That said though, somebody talking trash over the internet is probably an e-thug and won't do anything else because he can't hide behind the internet. I wouldn't worry about it.

  8. They can only know your service provider which tell him minimal data about you

  9. yes, if he knows how.
