Is it possible for teens to gain credit before reaching 18 years of age?

I'm 16 years old and was wandering if it was possible for me to gain credit now. Thanks in advance.

    Have your parents or older brother/sister add you to their credit card. Not sure they may let U use it put by adding your name and SS# it will start U in the way.. Oh and,,, hope they pay it on time,, if they don't then you get out the gate with bad credit.

    But to answer for U personally.. unless U get lucky ,,, all the credit grantors will require U to be 18.. thats the legal age to be responsible under contract law. C if they gave U the card and U weren't 18 then U would not be responsible to pay back the loan.

  3. yes get them to natwest they do accounts which when they reach 16 or 17 they can have a solo card if they prove themselves they get a cheque book and a good banking rating.
