Is it possible for teeth to grown in gums?

i have a friend and her "vampire tooth" is growing in her top gum.

she thinks she needs braces but i don't know if it will fix it for her,

do you think braces will help or what would she need to do to fix it?

  1. Teeth will grow where they will - some canines will grow on the roof of the mouth some teeth will change places with another tooth.  Thank goodness for braces.  They are so helpful in cases such as your friends.

    THIS IS KNOWN AS ECTOPIC ERUPTION AND BRACES WILL FIX IT

  3. If there's no room for a tooth to grow in it's proper place, it will grow wherever it can find room.  If it is in the wrong spot, a dentist needs to look at it and assess what needs to be done.  Why hasn't she been to a dentist?
