Ocean in Love

by Elaine Polin

Ocean called to me today:

“Shhh, have no fear,

I will be still for you,

Come, join me here.”

I rose to meet him,

mingled with his calm tide,

returned some salt tears,

from his water flowing inside.

“See,” he whispered,

“I will never hurt you.”

  2. The ocean is alive and gives life, this is part of love.

But the last line leaves me wondering of the storms to come?

other then that enjoyed the rest.

(do you know where the spell check went, I can't find it here)

  3. Great News! Mars is Wet!

  4. My

    ocean is a woman

    and she uses not

    her eyes not

    her voice she

    uses only

    her heart and the salt

    of her soul.

  5. I loved this nice poem of the oceans love' as i have been a sea-gal for many moons or more..

  6. Yes, love is a constant.  It is dependable.  Here and afar.  You see what is present and at the same time what cannot be physically seen.  This poem is as deep as the ocean.

  7. "Ocean" as a metaphor, leads to many possibilities.  Which in turns leads to many thoughts on this poem.  This is well said by saying little but implying much.  Compliments.

  8. Ocean loves me!

  9. The ocean, even with his many moods, has been the most constant love in my life. He doesn't judge, he doesn't ask questions, and he can take your salt tears and wash them out to sea. I think the Ocean can love, but we need to love him back.
