Is it possible for the body and soul to part?

Question

So, I was curious about something, and don't call me stupid or crazy. But would it be possible for the soul and the body to separate? I mean, I know how illogical that sounds but would it be possible to rip a soul from a body and then return it and have the body be fine?

yes!! actually, its called Astral Catalepsy. it has happened to my dad and i...very unusual. it actually happens once a week while we sleep. our souls leave our body and refresh, walking about for a short distance and returning to our body. on rare instances will people actually wake up while their soul is gone, but it happens. and the body is always fine. if you are awake while this happens, it will feel as though you are paralyzed and there may be a feeling of numbness or prickly sensations throughout your body. or...there might be pressure held at the top of your forehead. it is extremely uncomfortable, and this is why it happens when we sleep....thankfully. if you have any more questions, feel free to message me! i'd be glad to answer them!

I have heard that sometimes when we sleep(I guess it happens a couple times a week) we go through something called "astral travel"...it is said to be responsible for our very vivid and realistic dreams. Have you ever  had that feeling that it feels like you just fell into your bed and woke up...I have that all the time, I believe that is astral travel.  But i think the final time that we leave the body we have now is when we die, and go back to our real "Home"

There is no such thing as a soul.  You are your body, and that is all (and it works just fine without a 'soul').

as far as i know the only time the soul leaves the body is when the person dies.

i believe the soul will go on tot he next life wether that be heaven/h**l or idk what ever u think and then one day reborn.

I know people have already mentioned it but I do have more knowledge on this topic and would like to contribute.

Astral projection is where you're soul leaves your body temporarily. This can be achieved either consiously or unconsiously (aka: when you're sleeping). When you experience those very lucid dreams those are astral projections. Your soul has left your body while you are sleeping and has entered the astral plane. The astral plane is made up of "mind stuff". No its not a scientific term at all but its the only way i can describe it. "Mind stuff" is matter like material that is easily manipulated with thought. You can make it into any form with the right amount of concentration.

There are ways to practice and master consiously causing an astral projection, but it takes time. (If you'd like to email me for more info on this i can give you some instructions on how to do it, or suggestions on sites to look at.) You are actually safer in the astral plane than in the physical world, and if anything is going to threaten your physical body it has a way to alert your soul and you immediatly "crash" back into yourself. You may have experienced this when a lucid dream suddenly stops and you have the sensation of falling/being dropped, or having something heavy dropped onto you. This same feeling will occur if you do not ease back into your physical body when consiously visiting the astral plane. Because it is a very real place you can indeed encounter other souls there, and interact with them as you would in your physical body.

If someone says "yes" or "no", what difference does it make as long none of us have the slightest idea _what_ a soul is?

Does x+y=z? People will say "yes" or "no" but all depends on what they imagine x, y and z to be. It wouldn't help you even a tiny bit.

I think first we need to clarify for ourselves what is a soul, and maybe then we can have some meaning in the answer.

Out of body experience, although interesting I assume, I doubt it will clarify the notion of a "soul". It's the same as looking at yourself on a screen through a ceiling camera but I have reservations that it would give you a great insight in this matter...

Let's say soul is something that you discover and you feel, like a 6th sense. Now let's try to image a new sense... I simply can't, all that I can imagine is some kind of extension of the other five senses but not something completely new. We are born within our five senses and therefore also bounded by them. It is called a body.

How about a soul? Call it, if you will, a vessel of love for now...

Does an animal have a soul? If yes, why do we eat them? If no, why should we, as humans, have one; what makes us different? You see, its not an easy question you asked.

To answer your question, not from personal experience, but from what I've read, every person has the potential of a soul, but until a person discovers it, we can not say a single meaningful thing about it. Once you discover this quality of a soul within you, and your soul becomes manifest, it is tied to the body but can be elevated through 125 levels. After this, a soul reaches what is called final correction and detaches from the body.

my mum once had an out of body experience (oobe), about 30 years ago. She woke up one night feeling very strange and light, when she turned around she saw her body still laid in her bed. As soon as she saw it though, she was dragged back into it. it has never happened since, and my mum is usually a complete sceptic when it comes to things like that, but she has never found a scientific answer!

yes i think so that's possible in-fact according to some theories they are always apart body is a machine (perishable) and soul is a fuel -power that what governs the whole universe and when that power reaches the peak of knowledge it transforms or may be dilute itself in to universal power to be the one .
