  1. Yes, it is possible. If you go to my source, you will see the projected path of Edouard. Houston is the targeted area for now.

  2. of all of the forcasted tracks, only 1 of maybe 10 takes it into Louisiana.  The rest have it ready to strike the Texas coastline (bad for me, I'm south of Houston).  There's a high pressure area across alot of Texas, and that is what is keeping the storm going West.  This close to land it would usually turn more north.  As long as that high stays there, you should be ok, and I should not.  Lol.  You will be getting some rain and wind, but not much.

  3. Well currently its not hitting lousiana some of the storm is running along lousiana but not directly hitting it.

It looks more like its going to hit galveston-Freeport-some part of houston.

  4. It's always possible.  Anything is possible with tropical storms and hurricanes.

From what I can tell (and believe me, I've been watching it), it looks like there's a chance you'll get a little wind and rain.  But as far as landfall, it looks like it's mine (Galveston area), not yours.

Sounds like your mom is probably keeping a close eye on it and she'll let you know if things change in regards to the path.  So, for now, don't worry.  I think you're safe.

Always stay alert though since this is hurricane season.  Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

  5. Louisiana Dont need anymore rain. It rain everyday there. I am from there and I just got back to Texas today from Westwego and River Ridge and let me tell you we were deludge with rain. It has rained everyday almost this summer. Last weekend it was so bad the light went off and the wind was terrible I thought a tornado was coming.

You in Slidell you should be okay. You are north of the lake. Eden Isle may gets some water but further inland usally is good.

    Good luck!!!
