  1. whoa freaky. i wouldnt take the chance to take a shower. just wait it out

  2. yes, possible. chances are 1 in millions.

  3. You're probably more likely to have a tree fall on your house or your house catch on fire than get a shock from showering while there is a thunderstorm.

While water is a conductor, it is surrounded by metal pipes which are a far better conductor.  The water from the shower is typicall not in a continuous stream an the same can be said for the water at the bottom of the tub/shower.  This means that there is going to be a lot of resistance in the electricity getting to you.

    Go ahead, be clean.

  4. I live in southwest wisconsin.  I've been shocked in my shower during a thunderstorm with lots of lightening.

If I were you, I'd fill up the bathtub and take a bath.  It's alot safer.

  5. The chances of getting shocked are minimal, and the circuit breaker should trip it before you felt anything more than a jolt.

  6. Yes, it is possible. Mythbusters even calls it plausable.
