This is for my psychological thriller, (this is the essential part to make it psychological), when I have this master serial art thief have the power to have women bend to his will, like getting into their thoughts and dreams through their subconscious, to have s*x with him or fall in love with him, etc. If there's a term for this, what's it called and how is it defined. Any info on this would be great. (I'm also asking this in Reigion.)

I've asked this last fall in Psychology.

  1. Probably a site like http://www.ihadadreamlastnight.com will help you out. There is a lot of content regarding dreams there

  2. I heard that telepathic twins can do this.

  3. I believe that this is possible. It will make a great thriller.

Also, check out remote viewing. I have a book that I purchased 10 years ago, and it has been spot on... even predicting the 9/11 downturn in the stock market.

  4. h**l no.

  5. Sorry no its all false, dont you think if people had this power they would abuse it?

  6. I think all the info is in that song...The Sound of Silence.

  7. sure, I have little people falling out of my ears and nose all the time...they think they're slick, that I don't know they are there...but I do.

  8. As far as I know there has never been a documented case of someone transmitting their thoughts telepathically. In fact magician James Randi is offering one million dollars for proof. http://www.randi.org/research/index.html

Assuming that a person were a telepath, I would think that to bend a person to your will that way, you would need to do more than just call them. You'd also need to be well versed in post-hypnotic suggestion as well.

If you have a chance check out "The Occult" by Colin Wilson.

    http://www.amazon.com/Occult-Colin-Wilso...

It has an excellent section on the history of ESP and the paranormal, including telepathy.

  9. Of course. The government has been doing this for many years. Typically these people who have mastered these skills have gone into business for themselves and are on the "dark side." Some  claim that many drugs both legal and illegal are controlled by these secretive agencies who need this money to fund their agendas. Many people have supposedly been lead to believe thru hypnosis and other means that they have been abducted by extraterrestrials as a way of disinformation and to discredit these people also. There are stories of implants that they use to talk to these people as well. Remote viewing has been suggested as being a vague channel of psychic information when in fact it has been used to remote control these individuals like robots or a type of possession. Spiritually this may also be possible especially while you are sleeping. It's all academic to those who already know. Shhhh! it's classified.  Kidding really but, anythings possible these days especially when you're writing fiction for a movie. Rent Suspect Zero on DVD and watch the rest of its commentaries from actual remote viewers.

  10. YES, If you are super paranoid and that paranoia affects your dreams and thoughts, great idea though!!!

  11. In real life, no, not really. You might dream of them, but that's the doing of your subconscious, not their act.

But...many terrific works of fiction are written about things that cannot happen in real life in the fantasy and horror genres. Don't worry too much about making this completely realistic.

You might also want to keep in mind that your master serial art thief could well be a very shrewd manipulator who could still get women into bed or make them believe they love him. There is more than one serial killer who possessed such skills and used them to marry women for their money (after which he killed them, of course), or simply brought them somewhere for s*x which turned out to be non-consensual in the end. Try the crimelibrary.com website for examples.

  12. The reason I feel it is possible for you to think someone up as they call it is because so often I may not have heard from someone and than I just start thinking of them, intending to call them, find out where they are. Next thing I know one of us will call  and find out the other person was going through the same thing or else I would find out that they just died during that time they were so heavily on my mind.

  13. Well, our dreams are a powerful time for us and we are able to meet up with other spirits (deceased & living who travel on the astral planes of existence) and thus they can be a part of our dreams and experiences during REM sleep. So in that instance, yes. There are some that practice magickal traditions such as Wicca that believe that you can, if you're powerful enough, infiltrate others dreams (such as in the movie "The Craft") to disturb the person or as a means of gathering desired information.

  14. i think and everyone else would agree that the mind is a very powerful think if you are weak minded in otherwords are easily to be manipulated persuded or anything lke that, it is possible for some one to have conrtol over you it just depends on how the other person is (the one in your head) i dnt believe someone can take over your thoughts or head and if you feel or anyone for that matter thinks that someone is inside them they should definetly seek psychiatric help. thngs like that are not true if they are there is a very scientific and logical explanation for it

  15. you lost me after s*x ... sorry.

  16. no. only if you let it.

  17. It used to be called "mesmerism", after the French stage magician Franz Mesmer (1734-1815). Franz was the original hypnotist, who could dupe people into doing things thaey would not otherwise do, but, like all stage magicians, it was all trickery. Your art thief could have marvelous powers of seduction, but there is absolutely NO scientifically verified evidence of "mind control" or "getting into dreams". It's all power of suggestion. You're just going to have to write a really suave character. He needn't be particularly handsome, but it's all in the technique. No super powers involved.

  18. Yes if they are powerful enough. They are usually a sender.

  19. Is it possible that what is considered paranormal is but a shared delusion between people who manifest events that seem to occur in reality but really only exists in the minds of the observers through a cognitive mental disorder?

  20. You're probably interested in some osmosis effects.

  21. Yes.

Ancient Egyptians used to exchange dreams (information), and I have done this myself, early on in my magickal career. Further, one can simply send influences (I leave details of the practice out) verbal and otherwise.

Franz Bardon in one of his books writes of the time a sceptic insisted that, no, he would not be at the corner of 5th and Main at 12pm that night, as predictated by Mr. Bardon. But...

friends dropt by, so he left the certainty of his room. They went to a party, and in the course of events..well, Mr.Bardon was there waiting at said corner, sad but vindicated. (You might also like to reference his Psychotronic Death Machine, spoken of in his "Frabato the Magician", for the serial killer aspect).

"Women"? Or the weaker-willed (relative to the influencer, and not here to venture upon questions of what "will" in practice is), to get beyond sexist gender-typing, hmm??

Advertising executives and their assistant demons do it all the time, wouldn't you say?
