I have earned a degree on B.S Biology Major in Human Biology in the Philippines and I graduated last March 2008 and now i'm here at U.S. Is it possibe for me just to undergo a training (just a months) to become a Nurse and be able to work here in U.S or i still have to enroll a Registered Nursing Program???

R.N program here in U.S is usually 3 years to be able to graduate and have a liscence.

Hey! Time for me is Very Important... and I don't want to study again and waste my Bachelor's Degree that I already have.

Please Help me!!!!

  1. See if what qualifications you need in your state to sit for the RN licensure exam?  If your degree in Philippines is enoug, you might not need addtional schooling.  Do some research to see what the qualifications are to sit for the lincesure exam.  Good luck

  2. No.  Because the academic requirements and training standards are widely different in the United States than they are in the Philippines, you're going to have to take some courses towards a nursing degree that meet American requirements.  Added to that, is the fact that from state to state, in the United States, requirements vary.  There are no national standards for nursing since each state has its own set of requirements.

  3. In order to become a good Practitioner nurse and make good money, you have to undergo an RN program. It is 3 years long, but it'll pay off in the long run.
